Nursen TAN AKGÜL, M.D. has been working at our hospital as a pediatrician since 2010. Her focus areas include close monitoring of the child’s health from infancy to adolescence, and provide preventive and therapeutic care. At our hospital, monitoring starts from the intrauterine stage (inside the mother’s womb), and goes on with neonatal examinations after delivery, including neonatal vaccinations, screening tests, breastfeeding assistance and discharge after indicated checks and controls. Postpartum follow-up includes phototherapy for infants with jaundice, treatment of neonatal dietary problems, umbilical infection or bleeding. Prolonged jaundice is treated with proper care after meticulous testing.
Monthly monitoring of patients presenting at our pediatric outpatient clinic includes weight and height follow up, administration of indicated vaccinations, monitoring physical and mental development, language skills, motor development, and tests for early detection of autism and speech disorders.
We support breastfeeding of infants, and assist mothers in transitioning to supplemental foods.
We provide a comprehensive set of services for diagnosis and treatment of children presenting at our outpatient clinic with various conditions, including diagnosis and treatment of asthma and allergic diseases, urinary tract infections and gastrointestinal disorders.
We coordinate with biochemistry, microbiology and radiology laboratories to finalize diagnoses, and offer inpatient care for children who require hospitalized care with our team of experienced professionals.
