SOME COMMON FORMS OF SKIN DISORDERS:

  • Acne (Pimple)

It is a skin disorder caused by occlusion of fat secretion ducts under the skin and inflammation of follicles. It is common in youths and adults. It may leave a mark on the skin after treatment.

  • Fungal infection

Fungi are microscopic organisms that infect the human body. The most common manifestations include redness, irritation, itching sensation and rash in the skin. Depending on the species and the infected region, fungal infections may manifest differently.

  • Eczema

It is a skin disorder characterized by skin redness, dryness, itching and, in some cases, eruptions. Various factors may trigger it, although its definitive causes are not known. There are numerous types of eczema, and the most common types are scalp, hand, face, foot and stress eczema.

  • Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic disease that causes itching, flaking and pain. It may involve any part of the skin, but the most commonly affected areas are the scalp, joints and back. Psoriasis affects approximately 3% of the world population.

 

  • Calluses
    Calluses is a condition where the part of skin irritated by abrasion or pressure developing a hard layer of dead skin to protect itself. It may involve inflammation and pain.
  • Itching

Itching is a manifestation of various skin disorders. And chronic itching may be caused by a serious illness. Continual itching not only is an inconvenience, but also may drive anxiety, depression or even suicide. It is therefore imperative to rapidly diagnose and initiate treatment of the underlying condition. The choice of treatment may vary between individuals.
