– Paralysis and cerebrovascular disorders (venous occlusion, bleeding, aneurism and congenital vascular malformations)
– Tremor (Familial Tremor, Essential Tremor, Parkinson’s Disease and similar conditions)

– Slowness of movement (Parkinson’s Disease and similar conditions)
– Involuntary movement (Dystonia, Dyskinesia)
– Forgetfulness (Alzheimer’s Disease and other senilities)
– Muscle disease (inherited muscle disorders or acquired myopathies)

– Disorders of the neuromuscular junction (Myasthenia Gravis)
– Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other inflammatory disorders of the brain
– Facial paralysis

– Sudden pain attacks (trigeminal, glossopharyngeal, occipital neuralgias)
– Sleep disorders (restless leg syndrome, sleep paralysis, sleepwalking, sleep movement disorder)
– Diseases caused by immature degeneration of nerve cells (ALS, motor neuron disease)
– Neck, back pain and hernia

Techniques Used for Diagnosing Neurological Conditions

Close similarity of symptoms of neurological diseases complicate making a diagnosis. Achieving an accurate diagnosis entails the use of various techniques in addition to neurological examination.

– CT (Computerized Tomography)

– MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
– EEG (Electroencephalography)

– EMG (Electromyography)                                                                                                                                                                                                              – Lumbar puncture (examination of cerebrospinal fluid collected from the lumbar region)
– Biopsy

– Doppler (ultrasonography)
