Techniques Used for Diagnosing Neurological Conditions

Close similarity of symptoms of neurological diseases complicate making a diagnosis. Achieving an accurate diagnosis entails the use of various techniques in addition to neurological examination.

– CT (Computerized Tomography)

– MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
– EEG (Electroencephalography)

– EMG (Electromyography)                                                                                                                                                                                                              – Lumbar puncture (examination of cerebrospinal fluid collected from the lumbar region)
– Biopsy

– Doppler (ultrasonography)
