Service Details

Radiology is a branch of medicine that facilitates the evaluation of internal body structures through advanced medical imaging techniques during diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring processes. Radiological examinations, which form the foundation of accurate and timely diagnosis for many fields, contribute to the early detection of diseases and the planning of appropriate treatment processes.


In our hospital, the Radiology Department provides services in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology under the supervision of specialist physicians.


Imaging Methods Used in Our Radiology Department

  • Computed Tomography (CT)

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

  • X-ray

  • Ultrasonography (Doppler, 3D – 4D)

  • Mammography

These imaging methods are utilized in the evaluation of the brain, lungs, breast tissue, abdominal organs, musculoskeletal system, and vascular structures.


Interventional Radiology Procedures Performed in Our Hospital


  • Biopsies: Sampling from pathological tissues in organs such as the breast, thyroid, liver, kidney, and lungs under imaging guidance

  • Prostate biopsy: Traditional method of transperineal prostate biopsy

  • Biopsy procedures under CT guidance

  • Wire localization of breast masses under USG guidance: Pre-surgical determination of the location of breast masses

  • Placement of clips (tumor markers) in breast and axilla masses under USG guidance

  • Paracentesis / Thoracentesis: Sampling of fluids from between the abdominal or pleural membranes

  • Percutaneous ascites / pleural effusion drainage: Removal of accumulated fluids in body cavities

  • Percutaneous abscess drainage: Drainage of abscesses in various parts of the body

  • Percutaneous gallbladder drainage: Evacuation of infected contents in the gallbladder

  • Percutaneous nephrostomy under USG guidance: Placement of drainage catheter in the kidney's collecting system

  • Pouchogram: Imaging of the pouch cavity with contrast material

  • Fistulography under CT guidance for fistula tract imaging



All interventional procedures are planned according to patient safety and clinical requirements.
