Zahide KURT, M.D, has been working at our hospital as a general surgeon since 2018. Following examination at the general surgery outpatient clinic, the patient is referred, if indicated, for rapid gastroscopy and colonoscopy under anesthesia. If gastric or intestinal polyps are detected, polypectomy can be performed during the session. If a disease is detected in the intestinal or rectal region, it is possible to treat all malign or benign diseases of the gastrointestinal system, including surgical or laser treatment of anal fissures, hemorrhoids or anal fistulas.

Patients presenting at our outpatient clinic with ingrown hair problems are treated with open, closed or laser procedures as indicated after examination.

Patients requesting breast examination are first physically examined, followed by mammography and breast ultrasound in the same day. If any masses are detected, core needle biopsy may be performed the same day, if necessary. If the results show a benign tumor but resection is indicated, an operation is scheduled at the earliest possibility. For malignancies, tests are performed and a decision is made for breast cancer surgery, breast preventive surgery (with frozen pathology), hollowing the breast and implanting a prosthesis during the same session (coordinated with plastic surgery and frozen pathology) or complete removal of breast, including cleansing of the armpit interiors, all of which can be safely performed at our hospital.

Patients presenting at our outpatient care clinic with abdominal pain undergo ordinary tests, followed by ultrasound and other examinations, which inform a decision to perform appendectomy, or endoscopic or open gallbladder surgery, as indicated.

Patients presenting at our outpatient care clinic with pain in groins or the lower abdomen are examined, and if hernia is detected, groin or abdominal hernia operation is performed with or without graft.

Patients presenting at our outpatient care clinic with warts, cysts or wens in any part of their body are treated by local surgery in the same day.

Patients presenting at our outpatient care clinic with goiter undergo evaluation. If operating is indicated, the whole or a part of the goiter is removed rapidly and safely, using nerve monitor at the patient’s option.
